OUR HISTORY

ÖZ GIDA-İŞ Food Workers' Union, established on 1st June 1976 in Sivas, decided to move its central office to Ankara in its first congress in 1977. On that date, other five trade unions in food sector decided to join our trade union.

ÖZ GIDA-İŞ Food Workers' Union, which also had some difficult days with military coup of 12th of September (1980), successfully continued the struggle and kept defending workers' rights.

Our trade union which continues this struggle also intervenes the agenda and problems we face in our country, with various policies and suggestions in a productive manner.

Considering the recent developments of transformation in the world, our union which has been trying to bring labor policies into the axis of "human, effort and democracy", became the insurance for workers with its collective bargaining agreements and industrial relations councils.
